US Marine Chopper Tour – MV-22 Osprey & CH-46

This was shot back on May 16th, 2009 at the Dupage Airport. They had a bunch of Choppers on static display for Marine Week. Pretty cool, thought the Osprey was worth an upload.

Sunbury Air Cadets Wet Drill at RAF Odiham.

862 (Sunbury) Squadron Air Cadets get a rare chance to undergo aircrew survival drills at RAF Odiham. They were issued with standard aircrew issue flying coveralls and life preservers. They were instructed by two Survival Equipment Specialist (Senior Aircraftsmen Jenkins & Senior Aircraftsmen Cubitt ), and an Escape & Evasion expert. Cadets aged 13-17 were taught liferaft righting drills, sea survival, boarding procedures and emergency first aid. This is yet another amazing activity undergone by 862 Cadets!

2010 Jones Beach Airshow – Red Bull Air Force – Jumpers, Chuck Aaron, Kirby Chambliss

Red Bull Air Force 2010Jones Beach Airshow Jones Beach State Park Wantagh, New York Sunday May 30, 2010 IN THIS VIDEO, I’ve combined three different acts, all sponsored by Red Bull. The first act includes four jumpers exiting from a Cessna 182 and rapidly descending upon Jones Beach State Park. The second act features Chuck Aaron flying the BO105 in an aerobatic performance – and I do believe that he has a 250 foot aerobatic card in his possession, since he seems to be flying much closer than in past shows. Finally, Kirby Chambliss takes to the stage and flies a high-energy, highly aggressive aerobatic performance in the Edge 540. Kirby will fly in the Red Bull Air Races on June 19-20 as they race down the Hudson River in New York City. If you are interested in purchasing DVDs of specific aircraft and/or of airshows, interested in anything and everything related to airshows (where the jet teams will show up, all airshow performers, airshow reports from airshows I have attended, previews of airshows I will be attending, etc.), a much more easier to navigate “version” of all of my videos, and/or everything there is related to aviation – including spotting guides to my favorite airports and military bases and aircraft factfiles, please take the time to check out Steve’s Airshow World at www.stevesairshow.com .

3 Spanish skydivers became the first in history to achieve human flight over Antarctica. The Red Bull Proyecto Alas or “Red Bull Wingsuit Project” involved Toni Lopez, Santi Corella and Alvaro Bulto. They wore specially made wingsuits to endure the -70 windchill at 13500 feet. www.redbullusa.com
